The Youth and Popular Coalition for change reiterated its rejection and condemnation of the harsh methods applied by the security apparatus in dealing with a peaceful sit-in which was held lately in solidarity with arrested activists from Tafila. The rally will commence at al-Husseini mosque following midday prayers under the slogan “No to the trial of civilians before military courts”. Based on previous events, such demonstrations have yet to witness a high turnout and the probability for violence remains relatively low unless regime loyalists decide to provocatively rally simultaneously. Larger crowds should be expected in case Islamists will join the rally.
