Egypt: Avoid Tahrir Square and the Downtown area on April 13 following Muslim Brotherhood rally (April 12, 2012)

The Muslim Brotherhood has announced that it will hold a massive rally in the iconic square on April 13 to protest the addition of Omar Suleiman to the presidential race. In addition, in spite of a court ruling that has granted eligibility to Salafi candidate Hazem Abu Ismail, members of the movement are expected to take part in the demonstration en masse. We assess that tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands will take part in the rally as a show of force against the Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF).
